Group training is available at your work place using your equipment. We provide training in Sydney, all regions of NSW and Canberra. We are also available to travel throughout Australia, including Victoria and Queensland, upon request. We cater for groups only and equipment must be available on site.
The course provides trainees with the skills and knowledge to safely sling and move loads using a gantry crane with no more than 3 powered movements (East-West, North-South & Up-Down). If the crane has more powered movements such as grab, rotate or use of 2 synchronised hooks, then an High Risk Work License CB is required.
Upon successful completion of the course participants will be issued a nationally recognised statement of attainment in both units.

Timing
Training takes 6 – 8 hours depending on numbers and operator experience.
Course Requirements
- All participants must be able to understand English
- All participants must be able to provide photo ID and their USI number
- Language, literacy and numeracy skills at a level to be able to complete all assessments unassisted
- Suitable equipment in serviceable condition

- Crane visual and movement checks

- Fault reporting procedures
- Assessment in theory knowledge
- Assessment in practical knowledge
A High Risk Work Licence Bridge and Gantry Crane (CB) is required if there are more than 3 powered movements or is a cabin crane.
A High Risk Work Licence Dogging or Rigging is required if decisions need to be made about selecting and inspecting lifting gear, determining weights of load and centres of gravity, slinging loads or directing the crane operator.
Refresher training and VOC’s Verification of Competencies are also available.
Payment
A 50% deposit is required to confirm booking.
Full deposit refunded if cancellations are outside seven days. Cancellations within seven days will not be refunded.
